MARWADZO ASINGAONEKWI
ALLIENCE GORIWOTO
Marwadzo Asingaonekwi (Invisible Pain) is a socially conscious music project that explores the hidden emotional struggles many people carry in silence. The project reflects on themes such as depression, trauma, addiction, emotional isolation and social judgment, highlighting how pain is often invisible to the outside world.
Through both music and visual storytelling, I encourage society to look beyond appearances and seek understanding rather than quick judgment. The project particularly reflects on how unresolved emotional pain can influence destructive behaviours such as substance abuse and self-destruction.
By blending Shona and English lyricism with emotionally expressive visuals, the project aims to create awareness, inspire empathy and open conversations around emotional wellbeing and human struggle in everyday society.
